ISO is an acronym for International Organization for Standardization. ISO is a federation of 163 international organisations for standardisation and the central secretariat is situated in Geneva, Switzerland. ISO is the largest designer and publisher of international standards of the world. More than 18,000 standards have been published since the foundation in 1947. Today, 1,100 standards are published every year.
